Incentia's DesignCraft and TimeCraft Adopted by Via Telecom in Its 3G CDMA Cell Phone Chip Tape-outs
SANTA CLARA and SAN DIEGO, California, USA - July 16, 2009 -Incentia Design Systems, Inc., a technology leader in timing analysis and design closure solutions, today announced that Via Telecom, a technology innovator and leader in CDMA cell phone chipset product family, adopted Incentia's DesignCraft™ and TimeCraft™ as its logic synthesizer and static timing analyzer (STA) in its new 3G CDMA cell phone chip tape-outs. DesignCraft and TimeCraft met Via Telecom's stringent requirements in reducing chip area and power consumption, while greatly shortening the total synthesis and timing analysis turnaround time.

"DesignCraft produced smaller synthesized chip area and power consumption. Even based on wire load model, DesignCraft achieved very close correlation with our layout results. This greatly reduced the number of iterations needed for timing fixing during the tape-out period. DesignCraft and TimeCraft also demonstrated very fast runtime and good timing accuracy. We are pleased that Incentia products achieved the stringent design goals and met the tight schedule in our new-generation 3G mobile chip tape-outs."
